Silence (tanka)*

emotional blues~

cries within wanting release~

struggles inside self~

battles daily twofold war~

harmony a fleeting thing

lg/14052020

*Note: Many fight depression, anxiety and bipolar conditions just to name a few on a daily bases. Mental health is a major issue for many on a good day, however with the Covid-19 quarantine it is even harder for some to deal with it. Even those without issues are finding it difficult to be isolated. If you know someone who might be struggling reach out, you don’t need to give advise, just let them know they aren’t alone. This video connected for me with my poem. 🌎✌🏻💙 Take care, be safe.

PS. If you’re wondering I unplugged this week, I’ll catch up with all of you and your posts, I’ll be looking forward to reading, listening and seeing what you all are up to. Much love to all my fellow bloggers. 🙏🏼🦋🌹

*Note: The word hosanna (Latin osanna, Greek ὡσαννά, hōsanná) is from Hebrew הושיעה־נא, הושיעה נא hôšîʿâ-nā and related to Aramaic אושענא (ʾōshaÊ¿nā) meaning “save, rescue, savior”. In the Hebrew Bible it is used only in verses such as “help” or “save, I pray” (Psalms 118:25).

Religion like politics is considered taboo in group conversation. We may all have different ways of who (the One has many names) and how we worship. However the common denominator is to respect, help and love one another. Even if you aren’t a believer, I would hope that these three things are something you practice.

We lost Bill Withers this week, this song is one of my favorites he sang. It carries an inspirational message, we can reach out to one another, no matter where we live on this planet that we share.

Always 🌎✌🏻💜

In a Song *

there is

A song

that makes you want to sing

A song

that brings back comfort

A song

that makes you feel at ease

A song

that brings back memories

A song

that makes you weep

A song

that brings you joy

Each song

*Note: I’m sharing a few examples, hope you can relate. Feel free to share one of yours in the comments, I’d love to hear from you all. Always 🌎✌🏻💙

Be safe, take care.

*Note: In celebration of National Poetry Month. John Keats a life and love short lived. His poem Bright Star a favorite of mine.

If you’ve never seen the movie by the same title, I recommend it. The photo and above link feature a piece of the sound track. Enjoy! 🌎✌🏻💙🦋

Isolation with Hope (tanka)*

dark dreams encircled~

ominous thoughts void of life~

seek internal peace~

lowered in supplication~

divinity will enlighten

lg/30032020

*Note: Each day though there seems no end in sight, do not let this darkness (fear) over take the light (hope). Please watch my musical choice for this verse in it entirety. It is quite beautiful visually.

According to the Encyclopedia of World Religions Sufis believe that: “the human spirit being a direct emanation from the divine Command, is therefore an emanation of God himself, and could find its highest aim only in the obliteration of its illusory selfhood and absorption into the Eternal Reality. I love Rumi’s poetry it has always gave me comfort in moments of sadness or despair. For further understanding I have provided two links.
