Viognier (haiku)*

white petals, tart fruit~

sweetness lingers on the tongue~

spicy bouquet bites~

*Note: The grapes that produce this wine are grown in these three regions

To learn more about the grapes that produce Viognier wine I have provided a link below. I find wine production from the vine to the bottle very interesting. As always a song and of course it’s about WINE! It’s a throw back. πŸŒŽβœŒπŸ»πŸ’™ Take care, be safe.

  1. I’m fond of wine, as well, especially dry reds. Several years ago, I toured a few wineries in the San Franciso area and found the production of wine very interesting. Beautiful haiku and I love the song by The Youngbloods, Elle. Btw, Viognier sounds like a delicious wine.

    1. I did a California wine tour years ago before it became a β€œthing”. My friend and I at end were pretty drunk on the free samples. This particular wine goes well with seafood. That song gives me a chuckle. Thank you for reading and taking the time to comment, Eugenia. πŸ˜ŠπŸ’™

  2. Seriously Elle, everything about this post is interesting. I am listening to the song now and loving myself sick! That last line of your haiku is so good πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

    1. Thank you, I can only have a glass or two, more it will give me a headache. Red wine is worse is the Tannins in the wine that gives you a headache or migraine it’s a chemical reaction to it.

  3. I spent a few days picking blueberries and trimming grape vines last year. I loved working beneath the vines, so lush and the grapes were so intricately formed. It gave me a fresh appreciation for the fruit.

  4. This is so good! “Spicy bouquet bites” is lovely! . I started to get really excited about haiku and other small forms of poetry. I am thinking of doing an entire collection with just Haiku, Tanka and Haibun.
