Wildflower *

Near the gardens edge,

where the woodland

begins, amongst an

unruly bed of weeds,

there thrives a singular

wild blooming beauty,

bathed in morning dew,

she awaits her Beloved

sun, His warmth caresses

each petal, she turns

into this touch, her face

begins to glow in His

morning golden light.

  1. A beautiful poem, Elle. Deep feeling of connection for me in this one. And, as always, the accompanying track was perfect. πŸ’™πŸ™πŸŒ»πŸŒΊπŸ¦‹βœ¨

  2. Beautiful poem. Our local council have planted a wildflower meadow and it looks gorgeous. It just needs an information board now to educate people on the different types of flowers.

    1. Thank you, Mr. H. πŸ™πŸΌπŸ˜ŠπŸŒ»How wonderful that they did that. When I lived in Texas in the spring there would be fields of various wildflowers, or a field of bluebonnets. It was a visual feast of beauty.

  3. I see from your blog that I follow you yet WP never deliver your work upon my ‘Reader’. As an old fool I rely upon the ‘Reader’. I have now requested they email me notification of your posts. I hope this works as I don’t get sent so many fine artists work on said Reader. WP seem to do ‘this’ rather a lot. My apoliges thus far for missing out on your blog.

    1. No need for apologies. I too have this problem with the reader. Also at times WP does updates, I find that sometimes people I follow are deleted. Have a wonderful day/evening.
