Paranoid *

Fears become amplified,

threatening her universe.

*Note: I often post about mental health, for the reason that it is an ever growing problem. It often is swept under the proverbial rug for many reasons #1 the stigma attached to it. We need to do better in regards of gaining more funding for mental health clinics.

From 2.3 to 4.4% of the general US population are estimated to have paranoid personality disorder. It is thought to be more common among men. There is some evidence of increased prevalence in families.

Paranoia is an instinct or thought process which is believed to be heavily influenced by anxiety or fear, often to the point of delusion and irrationality. Paranoid thinking typically includes persecutory beliefs, or beliefs of conspiracy concerning a perceived threat towards oneself.

As always there is a musical song by NEONI, which is relatable to the topic. πŸŒŽβœŒπŸ»πŸ’™ Take care, be safe.

  1. An important six-word story, Elle. I completely agree with your commentary on mental health; the stigma, lack of access, and overall system issues. Appreciate the light you are shining here, my friend. β€οΈπŸ€—πŸ™πŸŒΊβœ¨

    1. It is a sad situation indeed, Jeff. Even in today’s supposed β€œenlightened state” so many people still have archaic out looks about mental disorders. Thank you for reading and commenting, my friend. πŸ™πŸΌπŸ’™πŸ€—β˜€οΈπŸŒ»

  2. Excellent, and mental health should be something we talk about more. We need to get in the habit of asking people if they are okay AND listening properly to their response!
