Seven Movements (tanka)*

Artist Susanna Shaposhnikova

abandoned alone~

midday lights ‘n shadows play~

now awakens dance~

swaying twisting in the breeze~

gracefully like willow trees~

*Note: I love ballet for its physical beauty of movement in time to music. Seven movements are the beginnings to learn ballet. I hope that you enjoy both in the video I have chosen. 🌎 βœŒπŸ»πŸ’™

Take care, be safe.

    1. Thank you for reading and time to comment. Yes, I had used a different one before for a previous poem. It adds much ambiance. πŸ˜ŠπŸ™πŸΌ

  1. Beautifully penned. Never been to a live ballet (yet). One day, when this Covid nonsense is all done and dusted. It does look so very graceful.

  2. Ballet is a slow, purposeful, and graceful dance that I used to take as a child. Never having a passion for it in the flesh, I take greater joy in watching the dancers at work pouring not only their hearts into their movements but also their individuality and creativity. The art you choose highlights the very meaning of your words!

    1. Oh Jaya, you do dance passionately not with your body and feet, but your mind and words gracefully. Thank you always for your kind words and insight. πŸ˜ŠπŸ’™

  3. The shaking willow trees are always so beautiful and the print you selected helped me to imagine them dancing. Beautiful poem and video.
