Musical Soliloquy (tanka)*

hands play sorrows song~

painful memories linger~

earth quakes smoke fills sky~

day’s devastation abounds~

ash’s rise wind scatters lost lives~

*Note: The term “casualties of war” has been around for a while and refers to the ugly downside of military victory, often those who just wish to live their daily lives in peace. I present this song titled River Of Sorrow played on a kokyū (胡弓) can also be cross referenced with Erhu (it is the only Japanese instrument played with a bow: for more information click the link https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kokyū) which the man is playing in the photo. As always 🌎 ✌🏻💙 may it someday prevail. Take care, be safe.
