The Fern Unfurls

This is my first poem ever to be published. I’m overjoyed that one of my haiku‘s was chosen out of so many other wonderful entries for publication at Pure Haiku. https://purehaiku.wordpress.com/2021/05/01/the-fern-unfurls/ Many thanks to Freya Pickard and the artist Elisa Ang who’s art (shown above) was the inspiration to us all.

  1. Oh Congratulations ELLE!!!!!!! So exciting and happy to be cheering you on. The haiku itself is so eloquently written. I love how you ended it “painted harmony” such a stunning line!

    1. Thank you, appreciate you commenting. 🙂🙏🏼 I’m following you and in time will read your poems. I enjoy writing haiku, tanka and very much like old Japanese block art. Nice to meet you. Funny coincidence I have a close friend named Kenji.
