Halcyon Days *

early days of spring,

this fever begins,

settling itself within,

concentration withheld.

watching petals as

they drift past

partially open window.

drifting sweet scent,

borne by early

morning rain

permeates her room.

sunshine breaks,

daydreams

spinning around

thoughts of him.

for her time moves

endlessly slow

until they meet

beneath their tree.

~~~~~~
lightest pink colour~
bringing sweetest youthful blush~
cherry blossom blooms~
*Note: Iโ€™m not sure this is a haibun, as this is a first attempt for me, however I do know it is a haiku at the end. enjoy the sound of cherry blossoms. ๐ŸŒŽโœŒ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ’ž Take care, be safe.
    1. Thank you, I shouldnโ€™t have posted it on dverse, as itโ€™s not a haibun. I loved the music so reminded me of the opening blooms and the wind blowing them through the air. Iโ€™m sorry the copy wasnโ€™t intentional. ๐Ÿ™‚
    1. Our apple trees are just beginning to bloom now. Iโ€™m going to start my veggie garden after Easter. Iโ€™m tired of doing inside stuff, Iโ€™ve purged, cleaned mopped, dusted, all animals went to the vet. So Iโ€™m ready for some gardening ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐ŸŒพ
      1. Enjoy! We were off to the coast at Easter but went into a snap lockdown instead over some community transmission cases – I donโ€™t mind though as Iโ€™m going to use the quiet time to do some gardening too and the weather is glorious …unlike you Iโ€™m not all caught up with my housework though so that will have to be tackled too.
