life today
can pull
you down
to the ground.
walking through
empty streets,
as fragmented
memories
circle like
splintered light.
once enlighten,
now
pain
etched
shallow faces.
visions lost
hiding
behind
hollow eyes,
thoughts of
tomorrow lay in
shadowed
darkness
so oblique.

*Note: melancholic thoughts are more prevalent this year than in the past. Isolation can do that, call, FaceTime or zoom those dear to you. Know that you are never truly alone have faith let your spirits be lifted. π Sending a virtual hug around the world.
πβπ»π Take care, be safe.
True….that’s the general feeling….but if one remains connected to the one self….then the inner picture would look different…covid-19 has infected so many & have taken crazy amount of lives….the wave of fear & panic….but it’s also teaching us to appreciate small moments….social distancing is somehow bringing us together….but again, that’s just my POV

Texting while parenting. Not advisable.
Anything smokable would be nice right about now π

Oblique is a beautiful word to end this haunting piece. There is something sad and wistful about empty streets.
