Stand above this lonely grave,
guardian of this soul.
Which lays silently beneath
earthly soil.
In fond memory you were placed,
never to be forgotten.
Time has traveled,
a century has passed.
Those who once remembered,
now join them in eternal rest.
* I was inspired by this statue to write this brief piece. It stands in
